Common iPhone Problems (and Fixes!)

Apple’s iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones on the market, but even the best products can have their share of problems. If you’re experiencing issues with your iPhone, don’t worry – we’re here to help. In this blog post, we will discuss some of the most common iPhone problems and provide solutions for how to fix them.

Despite popular misconceptions, both new and refurbished models can encounter these issues. If you want to explore refurbished phones, click here.

Apps Won’t Open

If you’re trying to open an app on your iPhone and it won’t load, there are a few things you can try. First, check to see if the app has been updated recently – sometimes updates can cause problems. If the app is up to date, try restarting your iPhone. If that doesn’t work, try deleting the app and then reinstalling it. Typically, restarting the device will resolve the issue.

Battery Draining Quickly

A common problem with iPhones is that the battery drains quickly; there are a few things that can cause this issue. First, check to see if you have any apps that are running in the background – these can use up a lot of battery power. Additionally, make sure that your screen brightness is turned down as low as possible – a bright screen can also use up a lot of battery power. Finally, if you have any location-based services turned on (such as GPS), try turning them off – they can also use up a lot of battery power.

If you’ve tried all of these things and your battery is still draining quickly, you may need to replace your battery. Go into the settings and check your battery health – if it’s below 80%, you may need to replace your battery. You can do this yourself, or you can take it to an Apple Store.

Frozen Apps

If your apps are freezing or your screen is unresponsive, the first thing you should try is a hard reset. To do this, hold down the power button and home button at the same time until your screen goes blank and the Apple logo appears – this may be different depending on your model.

If that doesn’t work, try force quitting the app that’s giving you trouble. To do this, double-click the home button or slide up and find the app that’s giving you trouble. Swipe up on the app to close it.

If your phone is still having problems, it could be that the app itself needs to be fixed by the developers (this is probably the case if all other apps work well!).

Bluetooth Accessory Not Connecting

If you’re having trouble connecting your iPhone to a Bluetooth accessory, first make sure that both devices have Bluetooth turned on and are in range of each other. If that doesn’t work, try restarting both devices. If the problem persists, you may need to reset your network settings. To do this, go to Settings – General – Reset and tap “Reset Network Settings.”

iMessage Not Working

If you’re trying to send or receive an iMessage and it’s not working, first make sure that both you and the person you’re trying to message have iMessage turned on. You can do this by going to Settings – Messages. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your iPhone. If the problem persists, you may need to delete and re-add the person you’re trying to message from your Contacts. You can also try resetting your network settings, as mentioned above.

With this, you’re now in a better position to troubleshoot some of the most common iPhone problems. Good luck!
